Ordering Words or Phrases by the Number of Documents in Which They Occur

Problem: You have several or many documents, and you want to sort the words/phrases contained in them by the number of documents in which those words/phrases occur (not by the number of occurrences of those words/phrases).

Solution: Select the folder containing the documents, then select the report format "word freq no. files" and check the "Sort by number of files instead of frequency" checkbox as shown at right. Click on the "Count words/phrases" button, then on the "Count all words" button. The result will be a list of words/phrases ordered by the number of files in which they occur (and ordered alphabetically for words/phrases occurring in the same number of files), as shown below.
